Yes, on both counts, as far as TG din-din. In 1980 you guys ate there with me by my lonesome only a couple of weeks after moving into Grand Ave, and in 1981, Ann incurred the wrath of her father by defying tradition, and eating with you, KC and me at Grand Avenue. I did not do the running, and maybe that's why R & G have faded from my memory. No point of reference. I would be anything though, that R did not work at United.Mark O'Neillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16295762252612104201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5664760701202151470.post-83183899836666221822011-11-05T08:52:42.783-07:002011-11-05T08:52:42.783-07:00NO No NO - Ruben Salazar started those - as in Rub...NO No NO - Ruben Salazar started those - as in Ruben and Gail? somewhere over on the eastside on TG morning - I think we did a half marathon run (or maybe less) - I participated for several years and I do remember the year you were on Grand Ave - KC and I had dinner with you (by yourself? would that make sense or was Ann there?) - I had run and run hard that morning -Graciewildehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00142582724233027386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5664760701202151470.post-74872909755425924532011-11-05T02:39:32.043-07:002011-11-05T02:39:32.043-07:00Your comment was the inspiration for "Old Pai...Your comment was the inspiration for "Old Paint," thank you very much. Also, thank you so much for the correct spelling of camaraderie; I was struggling with that one. Refresh my memory: what were the TG Turkey trots? Hopefully they were tied into a football game and not an intestinal disorder. :)Mark O'Neillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16295762252612104201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5664760701202151470.post-41172187254654817242011-11-03T06:33:22.397-07:002011-11-03T06:33:22.397-07:00Why did my comment from yesterday not publish?
Oh...Why did my comment from yesterday not publish? <br />Oh well, I seem to remember that I appreciated the camaraderie that you guys had - the inside jokes, the post work time gatherings - even though the store closed at 6 on Saturdays, KC never got home until close to 7..... and tell us more about the employees - write about Jimmy and Steven and Kevin and Pescalone, and Eric and , yes, KC -- remember the Wednesday night runs to Tower records? an extension of UA - or the TG Turkey trots ...Graciewildehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00142582724233027386noreply@blogger.com
